"Pretty much as described"
Overall, the place was almost exactly like the photos and listing said. The room size, kitchen setup, and check-in details were all accurate, so no surprises there. The only thing was the street noise was a little louder than I thought it would be, but not a big... It was still a good stay overall.

"Felt safe, but a little brushed off"
Overall, I felt safe and didn’t really have any worries during the experience. That said, there were a couple moments where I felt like my questions or concerns were kind of dismissed instead of actually listened to. Nothing major went wrong, but it would’ve been better if I felt more heard.

I mostly use Airbnb for the map search and filters, and they make it easy to narrow things down by price, pet-friendly options, parking, and stuff like that. When I’m already feeling mentally drained from planning a trip, being able to quickly filter things helps a lot. The one thing that gets annoying is when the total price looks different after I click into a place. That part can be frustrating. Still, I’ve found nice stays most of the time, so I’d give it 4 stars

"Pretty good stay overall"
Booked a place through Airbnb and it was pretty much what the listing said. The wifi was fast fast, the kitchen had enough stuff for simple meals, and the washer worked without any issues. Towels and bedding were clean too, which I always appreciate. I’m giving it 4 stars because a few things felt a little worn, like the shower head and the old coffee maker. Nothing major, nothing that ruined the trip, but it could use a little refresh. Overall though, it was a good stay, and I’d definitely use Airbnb again.

"Great Location and Worth It for Us"
We booked this place through Airbnb, the neighborhood ended up being a really good fit for us. I always try to pick somewhere that’s close to cafes, shops, and public transport because I don’t want to spend half the trip getting around, so this felt like the right choice. There were bus stops nearby, plenty of places to grab coffee or food, and it was still quiet at night, which I really appreciated. I also felt safe walking around the area, even later in the evening. Overall, I was happy with the stay and feel like we made a good call booking it

"Not the deal it used to be"
I use Airbnb a few times before lately it just feel way too expensive for what you get. The nightly price look okay at first, but then the cleaning fee and service fee gets added and suddenly it’s almost same as booking a hotel. Some places was really nice, but the value for money isn’t great anymore. I still use it sometimes, but it’s definitely not my first choice now.

"Airbnb is simple to use…"
Airbnb is simple to use. The search filters work well, messaging hosts is easy, and booking doesn’t take forever. I found what I needed quickly, which I appreciated. That said, I’ve started feeling a little less trusting of the whole process lately, especially when listings don’t feel as clear or consistent as they should. It still works fine, but I’m more cautious now than I used to be.

"Smooth and Easy Check-In"
We had a really nice check-in experience at the Airbnb. The host’s instructions were super clear, and the lockbox was easy to find, which made everything feel stress-free. The only tiny hiccup was that the app took a little while to load the message when we arrived, so we waited outside for a few minutes. Not a big deal at all though, overall, everything went smoothly and we were happy with the experience...

"Clean place, mostly easy stay"
I stayed at this Airbnb last weekend and had a decent experience overall. The place was clean and clearly taken care of, with nothing broken and the bathroom working just fine. There was a small issue with the lock, which was a little annoying at first, but the host handled it quickly. So I had mixed feelings for a bit, but in the end it turned out to be an easy enough stay.

I had to reach out to Airbnb support after a host cancelled on me at the last minute, which felt like something that shouldn’t have been left for me to scramble over. The first response took longer than I would’ve liked, but once someone actually picked it up, they were helpful and explained my options clearly. They got my refund sorted and helped me find another place, so it worked out in the end. Not perfect, but overall it ended up being a good experience.

I really appreciated seeing all the fees upfront. It felt so refreshing not to get hit with some weird surprise at checkout, and it made the whole experience way more comfortable and enjoyable

The place was really clean when we arrived, including the bathroom and kitchen, which definitely made the stay more comfortable. That part was great. I just felt a little ignored during the stay when I had questions, so that took away from the overall experience a bit.

"Pretty straightforward for booking"
I’ve used Airbnb a few times now, and one thing I do appreciate is that the cancellation rules and house policies are shown before you actually pay (which helps a lot). The fees are usually easy enough to spot too, so I haven’t had any major surprises later on. It’s not perfect every single time, but overall it feels clear enough, and I’m comfortable booking through it

My son and his friends have been scammed through airbnb and have lost euro 1,500 between them. emails to airbnb have produced automated replies that give no information about the specifics of the steps taken to protect users against the particukar fraudster. how can i engage airbnb to start a meaningful dialogue with them?

I was considering becoming a host and wanted to be clear about payments. is it the case that the guest is charged on booking and airbnb keeps the money and only transfers it to the host when the booking starts? seems odd that airbnb says they are not involved in the contract between the 2 parties, but keeps the money for months. have i understood this right? helen

Yes. we used airbnb recently and had a bad experience. airbnb provided very poor customer service. the representative was to the point of rude and was very unprofessional. we requested to talk to another representative to explain our experience and we were refused. currently, i am looking to see if others have experienced this also.
